To underwrite Commercial Lines risks

Responsible to assess, approve or decline risks brought in by the Direct Marketing / Intermediaries.  This includes the application of appropriate premium, rating, terms and conditions deemed necessary.

Approve the issuance of policies / endorsements within the authorized limits.

Survey risks and / or visits intermediaries and direct clients.

Maintain good relationship with existing clients as well as to build up new business network.

Handle customers' enquiries over the phone.

Dissolve complaints raised by intermediaries and direct clients.

Checks and signs policies / endorsements that is within the authorised limits.

Reviews the work flow procedures regularly and proposes ideas to improve efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma / Degree

Possess insurance qualifications

Preferably with a few years of working experience as an underwriter

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Able to work independently and as a team

*Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
